Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. is the Epitome of Finer Womanhood
Membership into Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. is by invitation only. Candidates for membership must have a track record of serving their community, a commitment to scholarly and cultural endeavors, demonstrate the traits of Finer Womanhood, an interest in fostering the ideal of Sisterhood and possess or working towards at least one baccalaureate degree.
Eligibility for membership into Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. is contingent upon compliance with other requirements and qualifications, as may be required by the Nebraska local chapters of this sorority.
The Nebraska chapters of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. welcomes:
New members at undergraduate and graduate levels
Sorors who want to reunite with the sorority and “come home to Zeta”
Sorors relocating or are new to Omaha, NE, Lincoln, NE and the surrounding metro areas
Sorors looking to transfer chapter membership from undergraduate to graduate status
Categories of Membership
Undergraduate
The Phi Iota Chapter was chartered on the campus of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln on February 1, 1980.
Prospective undergraduate members must be enrolled at UNL as full time students and meet the criteria required for undergraduate membership by Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc, and follow guidelines for membership intake governed by the University.
The Tau Alpha Chapter was chartered on the campus of the University of Nebraska-Omaha on December 27, 1939.
Prospective undergraduate members must be enrolled at UNO or another Nebraska college or university (excluding UNL) as full time students and meet the criteria required for undergraduate membership by Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc, and follow guidelines for membership intake governed by the University.
Graduate
The Beta Psi Zeta Chapter resides in Omaha, NE. Graduate chapters are comprised of women who have successfully completed a four-year Baccalaureate program from an accredited College/University.
